Healthy and bouncy and ready to roll. Meet Carson! At first blush we were convinced Carson was a lab basset cross - that was up until he became a foster fixture in our founders home. In short, (true to his low rider genes!) he does not resemble a basset in any other respect than his stature, read...legs and they don't turn out like a traditional bassets. He could also be a Corgi, Doxie (x) or any other breed who has wee little legs, but his darling face is strikingly spaniel. His coat is exceptionally soft and has a slight wave to it.... So we've settled on a 'spanador' - a fancy designer term for a spaniel lab mix. And oh is he a charmer :) Six short months into his life he has captured our hearts, and delighted and captivated us with his charisma.
His canine companions are equally smitten.
He loves to play! and play some more. He can waddle and weave with the best of them and although his legs don't quite carry him at the speeds he longs to go in chase mode, he's an opportunist. Hiding out in the monkey grass, barely visible due to his height and low center of gravity, he jumps in, perfectly timed for the chase. Pleased as punch with himself!!! Zoomie runs are a hoot!
He has his sea legs ~ lab genes dictate a penchant for water and Carson does not disappoint. He is pool bound at every opportunity, does the doggie paddle with aplomb, sought out and marched through Atlanta flood puddles like a champ.
Carson IS the perfect package. His compact size only sweetens the deal. So... should you find yourself hankering for some Lowrider Lovin', while not quite the original he's well on his way to becoming notorious!!!
