My name is Carly and I was an owner surrender for no reason whatsoever - NONE. I was dumped at the shelter with my best friend, Candi, who got rescued and adopted by a nice lady in North Carolina... when the volunteer walked Candi out of the Shelter we sniffed noses through the gate and said goodbye. I didn't realize then it was forever. My world has since tumbled. I feel displaced now. I am so sad and have reverted to being very shy, missing my buddy and hoping I too am misssed. I need someone to give ME a chance, so with pleading eyes, I begged of the shelter Vol to 'please not let me die here...' and steeled myself for the worst. I am a Georgia black dog and we tend to get overlooked a lot... I thought that would be my fate. Turns out the shelter Vol had a few tricks up her sleeve, spun her magic and now I am headed for rescue of my own. Lab rescue to boot -seems my labby roots run deep. I have always been the very best girl - not better than Candi - she's the best in my book, but I'll settle for second best. Thing is, if I'm to believe what I'm told (and I'm a very good listener) I'm very special too... and you know what? - turns out, I may be a believer after all. You will be too.
