Sally is a 2 year old yellow lab whose elderly owners were forced to give up due to unforeseen circumstances. She is best friends to Sam :)
Below is commentary from our Vol who went to meet and settle in with Sally and Sam while at AC...."Sam immediately caught my eye because of how big he is. But he's as sweet, gentle and friendly as he is big. Sally is on the 'smaller' side at 65 lbs, but against the backdrop of Sam, who wouldn't be? Whereas Sam is very outgoing, Sally is slightly less extroverted and takes her cues from him. Sally will fade into the background, allowing Sam full attention while she assesses you through him. Of course, she'll be wagging her tail the whole time and saunter over minutes later for hugs of her own! She is very gentle too. Sam is a big MUSH! He leans up against the kennel and pushes himself as close to it as possible so you can pet him. I think that either of these dogs would be highly adoptable. Even though he is bigger than your average lab, I think that would be a draw and when people actually meet him, they won't want to live without him!"
