If you want to add Elmo to the recently adopted column, or otherwise share his story on Facebook, I can provide info/photos. We adore him!!! I've posted about you guys on Facebook but there is no way for me to tag you in my post. Maybe you can see them since I like your page. Feel free to use this photo in any way you want. Who wouldn't love that face? :)

If you view our site often, you may be asking yourself why have we taken our time to update Elmo? And the short answer is ..... his foster adores him and is in no rush to place him! His foster is also ALR's founder who has personally fostered countless dogs, and because she often finds herself fostering dogs who are a little more of a challenge out of the gate - she knows an easy keeper when she sees one. Elmo fit in so seamleassly with her pack and is such a good, calming influence on them all. He is super friendly and outgoing, trustworthy and loving - believe it or not, he is 100% happy ALL the time. It's really quite amazing to see this relative newcomer slip right into the fold without skipping a beat and what's more - the resident dogs rolled out the red carpet for him!

Recently, I dog sat her crew for several days - it gave me time to interact with Elmo and he is a gem of a dog. He LOVES people, he shakes, he sits, he comes when he's called (but you can usually find him right at your feet!). A smile never leaves his face. He is not overly photogenic and we've had a difficult time capturing his handsome, goofy side. He looks soooo serious, but its all a ruse!!! This boy is lovely - and probably a golden/lab mix - he's also younger than his pictures make him appear.

With the holidays around the corner, his foster will inevitably be in a position to take on several new dogs, so as much as she would love for him to just hang with her, the search for Elmo's forever home has begun.
