Foster Update ~
Mott is doing great! He really loves people and is ultra friendly. He rarely barks (only twice with people on bicycles and then only one bark).
He is really laid back and does not need to be crate trained. He just chills on the sofa and plays with his toys. He has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh.
He would benefit (and definitely enjoy!) additional outings to become more accustomed to the lead as he is a little difficult to walk due to his size on a leash. We are working on that but when he wants to go, he can ;) Easily remedied with some additional training.
I feel he would be great with older kids that would love on him. He is a real sweetheart and low maintenance.
If I could capture all the best qualities of my three darlings at home and roll them into one, I'd have Mottley! Such a gem! He epitomizes all the best characteristics of this breed, is true blue and a natural born pleaser. For us, it was one of those love at first sighting type things..and the more we see, the harder we fall. Granted it was his classic lab looks - a bold beautiful head and mega watt smile that initially drew us in, but he's more than a looker! Mott's heart is as big as he is and its simply overflowing.
Pretty much a laid back lover boy, he's content to just 'be' with his people. He's confident with himself, doesn't require coddling but adores to be adored. Don't we all? Attuned to the emotions of others, he takes his cues from same and settles down in sync. IF I were in the position to add to my family, magnificent Mott would be with me :) Lucky for you.
