Bandit is a 2 year old gorgeous flat-coated retriever crossed with a good dose of black lab and very possibly golden retriever. We only recently discovered that Bandit was dumped by his family LAST Easter and had spent over 6 months biding his time in the confines of a shelter. The shelter director realizing all his potential brought him front and center and sang his praises. Needless to say ~ she was right!
Indeed, Bandit has exceptional character - responsive, bright, charming and energetic - loves to pal around with other dogs and weighs in just shy of 60 lbs. He is being fostered by our founder and has made easy friends with her resident dogs as well as the occasional additional foster. He prances elegantly as if he were light as a feather - almost as if he's been on the circuit and courted a crowd! Stranger things have happened, but because he is not wholly purebred, and more a delightful combination of all the best breeds wrapped up in one, we tend to doubt it. No matter, his unique cross dictates his personality - and he just delights in ALL things.
Seemingly the eternal optimist, Bandit's view of the world is more, more, more and introductions and new experiences are taken in stride. Bandit has a typical retriever coat - flat and lustrous, complete with feathered legs and tail. He has a Golden personality ~ cheerful and lighthearted, Bandit is on a quest for a family that is as outgoing as he is - or nearly so!
