Update from his foster...
We wanted to send you an update on Blue now that he has settled in at our home. Blue is an incredibly sweet and good-natured dog. He's really smart, house trained, and knows the sit and stay commands.
Blue absolutely loves being around people. He follows us around the house and is constantly looking for attention. He loves to be petted, play with us or just lay next to us. We've had people over to the house and he greets them at the door with kisses. I've never seen him nervous or anxious around anybody. Blue loves toys and will sit and chew on one for hours without destroying it. Blue has tons of energy - in part, because he is still on restriction with regard to exercise, he has excess energy to burn as a result, ... but no doubt, Blue thrives on attention and exercise.
Blue plays great with our current dog. They love wrestling on the carpet but sometimes get a little too rambunctious. Blue has been known to steal toys from Downey and take her spot on the couch. Downey corrects him and Blue is rather blase. We haven't walked Blue on the leash much because he has been recovering from his bout with pneumonia but he does pull some. He needs some leash training but I think he would learn really fast.
Blue is also crate trained - he doesn't love it but seems to settle down pretty quickly after we leave.
Blue is an energetic, happy, enthusiastic dog. He'll make a great pet for a family that can give him lots of love, attention and exercise.

Blue is a wonderful 2 year old yellow lab mix. He likes to go for walks and to explore...has a sweet and playful energy. He's housebroken and really good with kids and other dogs. He loves to play fetch and knows basic commands like sit and paw.
And, he is a super sweet boy! He came in as a stray and was at the shelter for two weeks prior to his owner eventually signing him over. His elderly owner was upset to do so, but said Blue kept getting away from him on walks? Vol didn't have any trouble w/ him on the leash whatsoever...he has the playful energy consistent with a 2 year old lab, but not hyper in the least. Blue is completely housebroken and his owner said he was wonderful w/ his 4 year old grandson...almost teared up when saying he didn't know how to tell his grandson Blue was gone.... :(
