Foster Update ~
Wow! - despite his neglect, Boo is just the sweetest thing! And isn't destructive at all and is completely housetrained. I'm very happy to have him!
Boo is purebred yellow lab, an owner surrender who was purchased from a breeder when he was just a pup. Boo is approximately 4-5 years old, wonderfully sweet, well behaved and loving lab. He treated us like old friends within minutes of meeting us and doled out kisses, love and affection aplenty. A gentleman to a fault, he was never demanding, only hoping, that same love be returned ~ we did not disappoint.
Despite the lack of care he received in the latter part of his life, Boo was vetted and found to be heartworm -, no internal parasites and suffering from flea allergy dermatitis, the reason for his thinning coat. With his coat filling in beautifully, he's now well on his way to a full recovery ~ it is his heart that is still on the mend. It is a testament to his breed, the loyalty of a lab that even in spite of his neglect Boo still pines for the family he lost . He has so much to give, a generosity of spirit and the the whole of his heart ~ the greatest gift of all.
