Update 2 ~ Just wanted to give you a revised/better description of Sammy to post on the web - Since we got Sammy from the pound, her sweet, gentle, fun personality has really come out! She is a VERY well-behaved sweetie pie! She is totally house-trained and she loves going for walks and looking for squirrels :) She does not pull on the leash, she is very gentle. She has gotten many compliments on her sweet little lab face, and her coat is shiny and clean. She loves to play around and she really loves to have her face and body rubbed. I think this sweet little girl has been through a lot, but that does not stop her from showing gentle affection. This is my first time being a foster "parent" for a dog, and I could not have asked for a better pooch to take care of until we find her a stable, loving home.
Foster update...
Brinlee (we started calling her Sammy) is GREAT. Soooooo sweet and loving and gentle. She is VERY well behaved - no incidents in the house, at all. In the last couple of days she has settled in a little bit and perked up - she still has her moments of being a little skittish, but again, she's just so so sweet, she loves to cuddle and curl up by your feet. She's not hyper, unless she sees a bird or a squirrel, then she's focused, which I think is great. She has seen other dogs on the street and is totally calm. People too. I never picked up the crate from your office, as you will see when you get into work. I don't think there's a need for it. We got her a doggie bed, which she's taken to. She's been eating and drinking fine. I also took Lynn's suggestion, and gave her a mini-bath with a spray water bottle. Just doing the top of her coat made a big difference. I would also like to make sure some pics and a description get posted for her. So please email or call me when you have a few minutes. Thanks!
