Just one look! Thats all it took..! for our Vol to fall for Cagney. I was at Rome yesterday and this black block head lab came in - male about two to three years old. SWEET, calm. Walked him by other dog pens - no issues. He is GREAT!!!
And he is, great, that is! Charming too. But, we have since determined Cagney has a good dose of Golden in him - so he is a rather perfect blend. He has a luxurious coat, replete with feathers :) He doesn't fly, no, he's not *quite* that amazing, but pretty darn close. He sits pretty, prior to and without ever asking. He's got a good deal of spunk, will frolic with the best of them, but knows when to rein it in & lay contented at your feet. He considers the dog park his second home ~ a canine cadre of friends herald his arrival. Suffice it to say if there was a doggie Facebook, Cagney's friend cup would runneth over. (People and dogs alike.)
Unlike his name sake, our Cagney is not a tough guy at all. He is a genuine sweetheart of a dog (much like the actor in real life) and more apt to be cast in a role befitting such character. After all, his smile alone is Oscar worthy.
