This beautiful boy is a purebred male Black Labrador Retriever. His name is Duke. He is a year old and he is very friendly. He was shot in the leg. His owner took him to the emergency vet. However he could not or would not pay to have his Duke's leg surgically repaired so he brought him to the shelter on 12/28/2009 and surrendered him. Duke had a temporary wrap on his leg while at the shelter and was on pain medication. The emergency vet stated that he will most likely need surgical repair or amputation. Duke's former owner stated that Duke is housetrained and good with children. Duke is a very sweet and very beautiful dog. He was in immediate need of rescue as he could not be held at the shelter in his condition.
Duke is now safe at our Vets and out of the shelter, we have received rave reviews from all attesting to the sweet nature of this boy even under the circumstances. He's Extraordinary. |
