I could rave on and on about this boy, so I will :)
Hawk is quite frankly one of the MOST handsome purebred yellow labs we've had - and we've had a number of them. He's chill, but he's still full of personality. He is absolutely unflappable, nothing is unsettling to him, not a single feather ruffles, not a hair raised. Clearly Hawk belonged to someone, he has been worked with and trained, he knows sit and paw and takes treats gently - he is not a snappy turtle. He's a champ in the car, knows how to 'load up' and rides peacefully and amicably with his fellow fosters. He swoops in occasionally to give his foster dad a kiss on the ear while driving, but otherwise stares dreamily out the window. All that and he sat at animal control waiting, no one ever came. If Hawk had been my boy, I'd have been searching high and low, never to let him go. That's just how special he is.
The second time around will be for keeps. Hawk is far too beautiful, too composed and too young to stay in our program for long. To see him is to believe, so if you have a hankering for Hawk, holler at him and let it be known! |
