Pretty little yellow lab who is predominantly mixed with Duck Tolling retriever all the way down to that perfect white STAR emblazoned across her crown. She's a brand new recruit, so check back soon for more details on this rising star....
Update! Star continues to pull down some of the highest hits here on PF and we are happily receiving calls from many admirers across several states! We're beginning to think we have a true Star in our midst... that or her breed cross is garnering her lots of additional attention. We've never had a Tolling Ret. in our program - in fact - it was our Vet who alerted us to her suspicions, so she's somewhat unique, and definitely special! In as much as Star appreciates the attention, at heart, she is truly just a quiet reserved girl who ideally LOVES to be with her people. To that end, this girl has outsmarted her crate on several occasions only to leisurely appear, rather unexpectedly!... sidled up beside her foster! Star draws confidence, comfort and security being in the presence of people - and for that reason alone we have to wonder if her personality is suited to the stress of transport as early on she demonstrated some nervous tendencies. They've all but disappeared now, but we think that is a function of the bond she's formed and security she's gleaned in her foster home. So alas, all those wonderful out of state inquiries, but Star's destined to be a Georgia girl for sure! And thats great news for Georgians!!!!
