2) INTERVIEW
Upon receipt of your application, someone from our adoption team will contact you to talk more about the type of dog that you are looking for and what we have that might be a good fit for your situation. Please note that we require that all of our dogs to be maintained as INDOOR DOGS.
3) HOMECHECK / VET CHECK
To further determine the best fit or suitability for a particular dog, a volunteer will come visit your home. In some circumstances, it may be the foster with the particular dog that you are interested in. A vet check may also be conducted to insure that your current/previous dog was kept current on annual vetting, shots and monthly preventative.
4) SELECTION
A Gallery of our available dogs can be viewed on our homepage. We have, ADOPTION EVENTS,
where we showcase our dogs, the LAST SUNDAY of every month at PETSMART in Buckhead.
From time to time that will change due to holidays or we´ll add additional dates and locations. Please check the website for updates. Between times, we´ll try to make ourselves available to show you a particular dog. Your adoption coordinator will set this up.
5) ADOPTION
Once the approval process is completed and you´ve selected a dog, you will be asked to complete an ADOPTION AGREEMENT. You will then receive a packet that includes a copy of the agreement, medical records for your dog, a receipt for your donation, microchip and rabies tags and your certificate for a complimentary 3 hour training class with U.S. Canine.
